A Lemon Isn't Always a Bad Thing...

My Dear Lemon,
It's honestly hard to believe how much bigger a lemon is from a peach. I had dad go grab me a lemon while we were grocery shopping so I could do some comparing. I wish I would have thought to take a picture of me holding both of them, but the idea just came to me, so you'll have to take my word on it.

I've always liked lemons, and earlier in this crazy time of my life called pregnancy I would eat lemons, well suck on them really. The sour juices really helped me fight against the morning sickness that I was having, and sadly still have from time to time. Hopefully it will keep the pattern of subsiding a little. I have another friend from long ago that is pregnant her name is Amber, and she told me that hers finally went away at 16 weeks. That means hopefully only three more weeks, but honestly it has been way better this past week than it was in the beginning.

Also, the past week I have been craving steak. Mostly steak quesadillas from Chipotle. I don't really understand this craving since before I never really cared for red meat, you'll have to ask TiTi and NayNay about that one. By the way, those are the names we've come up with for my mom and dad, or the Tackett grandparents. There's a funny story I'll tell you when you are older and can actually understand. Your other grandparents will most likely be Grandma and Grandpa and they are just fine with that. Anyways, back to steak. I've been craving it like mad. I had steak tacos on Monday, a steak quesadilla on Wednesday and then again on Friday! All from Chipotle. I swear, it will get to the point where I walk in and I am sure they will know what I want.

I think your big 'brother' is getting excited about you too. His name is Goliath and he's a small dog, we got him so we, and by we I really mean dad, can learn how to care for another living being. Never did we imagine that the practice would be so short. Here's a picture of mommy and Goliath, we were watching Harry Potter while we took this picture and it is still on as I type this, not that it matters all that much. Your 'brother' has grown so much since we got him too, it makes me think about how fast you're going to grow. But please, don't grow too fast.

That's about all I have for this week, but before I go I must show you what you and I look like this week. There's not much of a difference from last week but you just have to see what each week looks like.
<--- So this is us at 13 weeks and 2 days. Keep on growing little lemon!

Love,
Mom

P.S.
The weather today has been nuts, it was raining this morning when dad and I went to the grocery store, then when we came out it was sunny and right now, the wind is blowing like crazy.

Welcome to California baby.

And so it begins

My Dearest Little Peach,
Today is Mother's Day and it's the first time that I get to celebrate as a mom. This week has been pretty mild with the morning sickness and headaches. Hopefully with us being one week away from the second trimester that things continue to get better. But I'll let you know how it all goes next week. Here is a picture of you and me at 12 weeks and 2 days.

Continue to grow little one we all cant wait to meet you.

Love,
Mommy

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
