Judah Rome & Eliran James

Today was a VERY long day. But it was a VERY fun day.

To start I went to Church with the FamBam. Took some pictures of the new Refinery. I figured everyone else posted a few pictures of it already so I thought that I would post just one of mine. I took it out by the OverDrive tent tryig to get the whole building in the picture.

Then we found Pastor Steve and took a picture with him and Matthew since he missed his chance at KSG Graduation.

OH! Ryan and I ran into Brandon and Alyssa. Ryan made a comment about Brandon's shoe size which lead to this next totally amazing picture oppertunity.

Ya they switched shoes. Brandon's foot is swimming in Ryan's and Ryan cant even get his foot in without the chance of breaking Brandon's shoe. I CAN'T WAIT for SS! Music with Brandon is going to be fan-frickin-tastic!

Ok, after all the church picture taking fun it was time for the PARTY!

Mr. Judah turned 3. I thought that he was turning 4, but no it was 3.
Even though his birthday isnt for a while, we celebrated Eliran's FIRST Birthday too!

Now, here are a few of my favorite moments of the day!

This is the AMAZING Fallon. I love her and I am so happy that she will continue to celebrate holidays with us even when Kelly and Nathan move to Mississippi. (Another story for another blog.)

Did I mention that Fallon will be going to school in AUSTRALIA? Ya with HillSong! WAY COOL!

I think that this picture of Emma and Eliran is my FAVORITE!

Emma is going to be 3 next month! Her story is AMAZING! I encourage all of my readers to visit her blog. It's on my list of blogs that I read under Emma Grace.

Here is Emma and her Mommy!

PINATA TIME!
Judah

Emma and Mommy

Then it was time for cake.
I missed a getting a picture with Judah, but the first birthday cake eating is alway the best! Seeing the little one dig into the cake and get it ALL OVER! I swear more of the cake always ends up on their face and in the highchair then in their mouth!

The the most important part of any party is the PRESENTS!

I think that Eliran is an AWESOME 'present'!

I know this is getting long. I just have one more picture!
This is me and Emma, I have another picture with the two of us last year. And WOW! She has grown so much in just one year. As soon as I locate that picture I will post it! But for now, you can enjoy this one!

Well, like I said, it was a LONG day and this has been a long blog. So I shall leave you all now!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN TO THE GREATEST BOYS EVER!

My computer is a liar

My computer is telling me that it is 104 outside and overcast.
I checked not a cloud in the sky.
I will however believe that it is 104.

Vanilla Pudding

According the the book that is pictured along with this post I am without a doubt what the boys of Relient k call 'Vanilla Pudding'.

The book lists a few ways for you to tell if you are indeed Vanilla Pudding.
They are:

1. You have lots of guy friends, but rarely have a boyfriend.
2. If you took a personality test, you would probably be a "Golden Retriever."
3. You are well liked by most other girl types.
4. You shop at the Gap.
5. You like meat AND potatoes.

The only one that might not work is the shopping at the Gap part. I find their clothes expensive. Although I do own two dresses from there.

The page opposite of that one in the book lists all sorts of other things, such as

What you would find in her locker? Books, pictures of friends, notes, a jacket
Email signature: Just her name and "Have a Great Day!"
Favorite movies: chick flicks, dramas, action movies- a little of everything.
Favorite music: Top 40
TV channel or show: MTV, Friends, ER
Favorite Drink: Coke
Website: amazon, ebay, and friendster
Picture/posters: Pictures of Orlando Bloon cut out of US Weekly
Probable nicknames: Buddy
After school job: The Gap
Clothing: The Gap, Old Navy, Khol's, Target
Makeup: Maybelline, Bonne Bell, Revlon

Sadly none of the 'types' like to visit myspace or blogspot.

So, what do you think? Am I 'Vanilla Pudding?'

And just in case you want to know these are the other types of girls listed and described in the book.

The Athlete
The Rock Chick
The Diva
The Homecoming Queen
The Mathlete
The Overachiever
The Poet
First Chair
The Drama Queen
The Airhead
The Girlfriend

I think that this book is amazing and great for guys and girls even though it says that its a book for girls written by guys. I personaly think that the start is amazing for guys, they can see what each girl is like and how she operates.

Step by Step

So whenever I get the chance, I watch Step by Step on ABC Family. I guess it because it reminds me of watching TGIF with my mom and dad.

Anyways, I haven't been able to watch it with an 'open' mind because all I can think about is how much the girl who plays Dana, Staci Keanan, looks like Ange.

Is it just me? Am I crazy?

Achy Breaky Heart

...those words just seem to fit at the moment.
First things first.
No I do not have feelings for anyone.
No I do not want a relationship at the moment.
Yes I do miss being a relationship.
Yes I am realizing more and more what I want.

Shawn Patrick Hinkston

Let me just say CONGRADULATIONS! You finally did it. The day that you thought would never come has. Well actually as I write this there is only a few precisous minutes left.

Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your special day. An extra thanks for the hugs, those are something you dont give out very much so it made my night.

You're excitement at the finishing of this chapter in your life was so apparent to everyone in the room. You smiled and joked more this evening than I have seen you do in the whole 18 years that I have been blessed you know you. Not just know you, but to call you a cousin, family.

You are truely amazing and I know that your future is a bright one indeed. Reach for the moon, because if you miss you still land among stars.

Now you join the ranks with Kelly and Kimberly as El Camino Alumni. A Wildcat forever.

Congradulations again to you and the rest of the El Camino Class of 2008.

I know I am such a muse...

2. muse - the source of an artist's inspiration;

Well, not me but someone is mine apparently.

I know that it sounds lame and corny, but my conversations with a friend always seem to leave me feeling better about myself. I have had some pretty crappy days where talking to them has made it better.

The best conversation was most definatly the night before Easter. That was also the night that we had our first real good conversation. The losing of a mutual friend has brought us closer. This frien has become the sibling I never had. I know that I have two brothers, but still. As a friend and a person this person is the best that they come. I've told them before, and now I have told the whole blogging world about it too.

Anyways.

Our conversation today was all about relationships. All kinds of topics can be covered on that one. But the part that stuck out to me the most was the part about first kisses. I had mine over six years ago. It was a pretty damn good one too if I do say so myself. Even if the two of us dont talk anymore except through myspace. I told my friend that I thought that the story of my first kiss deserved a blog. So, the next part will be a flash back...

::2002::
It was a rainy March night (sounds super lame right) and I had just gotten to Church for Break Out. I walked into the tent where we started the evening with worship. When I walked in my boyfriend of one month at the time came over and handed me a note. He told me not to open it in front of him and to open it later. So I went outside right away to open it. I know that was not what he had in mind but I didnt care. The note was sweet and while I dont really remember what it said exactly I knew that it meant something special, and that something was up. So at the end of the night my boyfriend came to pick me up from my room and take a walk with me like we normally did. We never really got to see eachother so that one night was always our night to sit and talk. Outside it was still pretty wet from the rain but thankfully it had stopped because walking around in the rain is sometimes fun, but when its somewhat late and cold it becomes not so much fun. As the night came to an end my phone rang and it was my mom telling me that it was time for me to go to the car so we could leave. I told this to my boyfriend and he for some reason would let me get up to leave. He kept looking at me, and finally without warning it happened. My first kiss. So simple and just right. I later asked said boyfriend if it was everything that he had wanted it to be. He said no, that the only thing missing was rain. Cute yes, but an even better answer would have been that it was better. But that's boys for you.

Let's come back to 2008 now.

I think that my friend is one of those that seems to get over looked. And I know that they realizes it because it has been talked about before.

But let me tell you this my friend.

I think that you are one of the best people I know. Whoever you end up with will be lucky indeed. Don't let the words of others get you down. I know that they dont, but it has to be said that you never let them. Waiting for things is always the best. The things you wait for the most turn out to be the things that are the most beautiful and worth it.

So.
I pretty much count on all my friends to give me great songs to add to my collection.

When Chuck Norris cuts in line...

the line bleeds.

So tomorrow is my 'little' brother's birthday.

He will be 16. YIKES!

Anyways, he is ALWAYS telling those stupid Chuck Norris jokes so when I was at Carrie's graduation party last weekend her sister got

<---------------------- this book.

I knew that Ryan would appreciate it. So when I was at Border's today with my mom I checked to see if they had it and sure enough they did.

Who wouldnt want this beauty for their library?

dave was right

I dont want a relationship with a man right now.

I am finally content with the way my life is and the direction it is going.

I came to realize that I was indeed just 'in love' with the idea of you. Not you as a person. I did love you, just not in that way.

I loved you as a friend.

In an interview with God...

I dreamed I had an interview with God.

"So you would like to interview me?" God asked.

"If you have the time" I said.

God smiled. "My time is eternity."

"What questions do you have in mind for me?"

"What surprises you most about humankind?"

God answered...
"That they get bored with childhood,
they rush to grow up,
and then long to be children again.
That they lose their health to make money...
and then lose their money to restore their health.
That by thinking anxiously about the future,
they forget the present,
such that they live in neither the present nor the future.
That they live as if they will never die,
and die as though they had never lived."

God's hand took mine and we were silent for a while.

And then I asked...

"As a parent, what are some of life's lessons you want your children to learn?"

"To learn they cannot make anyone love them.
All they can do is let themselves be loved.
To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others.
To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.
To learn that it only takes a few seconds
to open profound wounds in those they love,
and it can take many years to heal them.
To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most,
but is one who needs the least
To learn that there are people who love them dearly,
but simply have not yet learned how to express or show their feelings.
To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently.
To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another,
but they must also forgive themselves."

"Thank you for your time," I said humbly.
"Is there anything else you would like your children to know?"

God smiled and said, "Just know that I am here... always."

So, VH1 has been playing a marathon of this series all week. Since I dont have a job, but actively looking, I thought I would watch it. Let's face it there isnt much on TV nowadays, and this is somewhere on the lower half of what could be considered 'good' TV. Never the less I am drawn to the show. Watching these women and their reactions to a man they barely even know. It's a whole fantasy world that they are in. The dates that happen on the show would probably never happen to them in their real lives, yet I dont know. They say that they are in love and have never/havent felt this way in a long time. I think that its crazy.

Then again I am the granddaughter of a happy couple that only dated/courted 6 weeks before they were married.

I am also the daughter of parents who met in November and were married by the following February.

Maybe it is possible.

I so need...

a job.

Any leads send them this way!

I've spent the days home searching for a job, filling out applications, teaching myself the guitar and just relaxing.

I got to talk to Daniel last night. It was so nice to have a talk with someone who is decent and actually listens to what I say. I seriously wouldnt answer the phone at 11:00pm for anyone else. I miss seeing him everyday and working with him. Daniel, on the off chance you read this, COME TO THE OC AND VISIT ME!

Ok, now I need to try and figure out how to change the posted by thing I want to make it say something nifty. Same with the comments link.

Again, any ideas send them on over.

Now, its time for bed because I think that I have to take Samantha to work tomorrow which means waking up at 6:00am. Since my body is somewhat stupid it wont allow me to go back to sleep afterwards so I need to get as much as I can.
